Romanian success at the world’s leading water technology exhibition in Amsterdam

The stand of Romanian company Highberg Solution at Aqua Tech Amsterdam — a global exhibition dedicated to innovation and technology in the water sector, held between March 11–14, 2025 — was among the most appreciated by the tens of thousands of visitors attending the event.

“As all Romanian and Eastern European industrial manufacturers know very well, product quality, service excellence, or competitive pricing are not always enough to succeed on international markets. We always have to make an extra effort, to innovate, to reach excellence in order to compete with major global players. That’s what we do every day at Highberg Solution, and that’s exactly what we showcased at this exhibition,” said Alexandru Militaru, founder and CEO of the Ploiești-based industrial tank manufacturer.

Designed as a section of a galvanised tank, complete with all its technical details and painted in the company’s colours, the Highberg Solution stand was one of the highlights of the fair, which brought together nearly 900 exhibitors from the global water industry, representing the world’s strongest economies. Aqua Tech 2025 — a long-established event and the largest exhibition of its kind worldwide — launched for the first time the Innovation HUB, a dedicated area featuring cutting-edge technologies. It included the InnovationLAB, presentations of EU-funded projects, an investor zone, and a theatre area for live demonstrations and innovative talks.
The exhibition was structured into four specialised “Aquatech Worlds”: Clean Water World, Wastewater & Resources World, Digital World, and Industrial & Corporate Water World — the latter being where Highberg Solution stood out. Among the exhibitors were some of the largest global players, such as Berghof Membrane Technology, DuPont, Brenntag Water Treatment, Expo-Net Denmark, Lenzing Filtration, Jacobi Group, and Haver & Boecker. According to organisers, the exhibition welcomed over 20,000 professional visitors from 136 countries.
“Beyond the marketing success of our company, I’m even more pleased that we were able to show the world that Romanian industry still exists, and that it remains competitive,” concluded the founder of the Prahova-based company.

Founded in 2006 in Ploiești, Prahova County, Highberg Solution is Romania’s largest manufacturer of galvanised and stainless steel tanks, glass-fused steel tanks, rectangular tanks, and roofs. Beyond production itself, Highberg offers an integrated service package, from consultancy and design to installation and maintenance. Over nearly 20 years of activity, its engineers have completed more than 2,500 projects in 23 countries, with Highberg tanks installed in municipal networks and industrial complexes across Europe, as well as in the petrochemical industries of the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
